LEGACY COUNSELLING
We are moving!!
📦 We’re Moving! — Important Update for December 3rd & 4th
Our clinic is relocating to a bigger, brighter space as we grow with Wild Oak Trauma Centre. Please note that the office will be closed December 3rd & 4th while we complete the move.
Starting December 3rd, our new address will be:
Unit 202 – 4802 51 Ave
For your safety, the 2nd-floor foyer is secured and will remain locked. You’ll receive a unique security code prior to your appointment so you can enter the building.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition. I know that change can feel challenging, and I’m here to support you through it. I’m also truly excited for this next chapter—our new space will allow us to grow, expand services, and serve you even better.
GET TO KNOW ME

Hi, I’m Laura — the founder and president of Legacy Counselling. I graduated in 2023 with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, however I’ve been working in the helping profession since 2010. Over the years, I’ve supported people in many areas, including mental health, physical health, addictions, and relationships.

My Credentials
I’m a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Certified Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP), and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP). I’m also registered with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA) as a Counselling Therapist.
All of this simply means I’m trained to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, and holistic support — while keeping therapy approachable, collaborative, and focused on your unique needs.

Who I Work With

I’m especially passionate about working with individuals and adolescents (10+). I also have a strong focus on men’s mental health concerns and women’s issues.
As a wife and mom of two, I understand how complex life can feel when you’re balancing family, work, and personal well-being. Whether it’s rushing between hockey, soccer, and gymnastics or simply trying to find a quiet moment for yourself, I know how important it is to have support along the way.
Outside the Office

When I’m not counselling, I’m usually spending time with friends and family or enjoying the outdoors. I love camping, playing slo-pitch, snowboarding, and traveling — these are the things that help me recharge and stay grounded.

My Approach

I believe counselling should feel safe, supportive, and free of judgment. You are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, help you sort through what feels heavy, and support you in building the life you want to live
